Pixinoid vs Google Drive: AI Photo Sharing for Events

Google Drive is great for storing files. For delivering event photos to the people in them, a shared folder isn't enough. Here's what Pixinoid does differently.

Updated 28 October 2026

From storage to delivery

After most events, the photos go into a Google Drive folder and the link goes into a group chat. Drive is reliable and familiar, but it's built to store files, not to get each photo to the person in it.

Pixinoid is built for that last step. Guests open the album, take a selfie and get every photo they're in.

Face search instead of scrolling

A Drive folder with two thousand photos looks the same to everyone: two thousand thumbnails. Guests scroll, download a few, and give up.

In Pixinoid, guests tap Find My Photos and take a selfie with the live camera. Pixinoid searches the whole album and shows the photos they're in, sharpest first. The selfie is used for that one search and then deleted.

Control over who sees what

A shared Drive link usually means the whole folder for anyone who has it.

Pixinoid lets you choose per album:

  • The whole album, for anyone with the link
  • Only the photos each guest is in
  • Only your team

You can add a PIN on top, and changing it makes old links stop working.

Made for the event day

Your team uploads from the media desk laptop while the event runs. Photos reach guests' phones, and the live photo wall on the venue screen, usually within a minute or two.

Guests can add their own photos too, and you approve each one before it goes up.

Your brand on every photo

A Drive folder carries Google's name, not yours. A Pixinoid album shows your logo and colours, puts your watermark on the photos, and can add a sponsor frame to every download and Instagram share.

Downloads

Guests can download single photos or the whole album, or one folder, as a zip that starts streaming straight away. One-tap Instagram post and story cards are ready when they want to share.

Pricing

Pixinoid charges per album, so photographers and organisers can add it to the price of the event. There's no monthly seat.

Your first album is free: 2 gb of photos, up to 500 photos, 100 guests, 300 face scans, live for 15 days. Bigger events get an album sized for them.

Conclusion

Keep Drive for backups and documents. When the goal is getting event photos to the people in them, use a tool built for it.
